"One guy, the joker, has the sentiment that the State exploits our natural resources (without knowing its value) and that they do not respect the limits of natural resources. But he has given up all hope of getting his voice heard, shown by the statement 'There must be some way out of here'. The joker is your typical confused citizen who is never serious of rebelling against the State. He is too complacent with his life despite his State's exploitation The other guy has already been complicit in State activities before and he has become wiser with experience. He consoles the 'joker' that many think that 'life is but a joke'. I think it is another way of saying 'I feel you man'. The thief reminds the joker that we are not resigned to a life of exploitation of the State. He asks him not to 'speak falsely now' about giving up in the last minute since 'the hour is getting late'. The thief is your typical intellectual who has gained his knowledge and wealth by enjoying the benefits provided by the State. He is trying to prod the joker to join the rebellion against the princes (politicians) who guard the watchtower of freedom. The wrapping around is an indication of the infinite loop of this political drama. The confused joker and the experienced thief are forever approaching the establishment."
