If you have a regular knuckle-boom crane, you must have 2 IPS-boxes, since each one of them only have space for 4 channels or function, and a crane have "6" functions.
Which crane-functions are having problems?
If all of them (both IPS boxes) it is unlikely the IPS boxes.
If only functions in one box, is it more than one function or all functions that gets "screwed up"?
If it is only one function, try to swap that specific channel card in the box with a card that you know works.
If it is all crane functions on that box, you most likely have a problem with the mother board in the box.
As mention above, start looking for bad soldering, but most likely there is a problem with PWM unit or frequence clock or similar. Then you need to replace the motherboard. Try to find a used IPS box with a good mother board. There should be hundreds of them on logging machine "cemetery's" (scrap yards) in Sweden or Norway. etc
